Verification and AML
A. Why we verify
1.1 You can register only if online play is legal where you live. Account verification is how we satisfy Canadian requirements on age checks, identity checks and anti-money laundering.
1.2 Through these checks we confirm your age of 19 or above, your ownership of the account, your presence in a region where we operate and the legitimate source of your funds. They also protect you against fraud and prevent anyone else from seizing your account.
1.3 Checks run before your first deposit and can be repeated later, for example before a withdrawal or when your details change.
B. When verification cannot be completed
2.1 Until checks are complete, deposits and withdrawals stay on hold.
2.2 If any document is missing, hard to read, expired or differs from your account details, we will send you an email that lists exactly what we still need.
2.3 Where your identity remains unconfirmed, we restrict the account and may close it under our Account Terms. Under our Bonus Policy, bonus winnings may be forfeited in that case.
2.4 Altered or false documents lead to immediate closure and may be passed to the relevant authorities.
C. Ongoing monitoring
3.1 Automated tools and trained staff monitor deposits, wagers and withdrawals. We look more closely at signs such as cashing out after minimal wagering, frequent changes of payment method, links between several accounts and activity that does not fit a player's profile.
3.2 You personally must hold every card, bank account and e-wallet you register. Methods owned by someone else cannot be linked.
3.3 When a document expires or your details change, we request an updated copy.
D. Record keeping and reporting
4.1 We keep identity records and transaction histories for the period Canadian law requires and store them securely, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4.2 We have a legal duty to inform the Canadian financial intelligence authority about suspicious transactions and certain large transactions. That same law bars us from letting a player know a filing has been made.
4.3 We cooperate with lawful requests from Canadian authorities.
E. PEP and sanctions screening
5.1 We check account holders against Canadian and international sanctions lists, and for politically exposed person (PEP) status, when they sign up and periodically after that.
5.2 A PEP is a person who has a prominent public function today or had one previously, along with their immediate family members and close associates.
5.3 A PEP match does not mean refusal. It means enhanced checks and senior approval before play continues. A person subject to sanctions cannot hold an account with us.
F. Where your money comes from
6.1 Should your activity move to higher levels or seem out of line with the details we have on file, we will request evidence showing where your funds originate, such as bank statements, tax documents, payslips, or proof of an inheritance or sale.
6.2 Play and withdrawals may pause until the information is received and accepted.
G. Identity and age checks
7.1 At registration, we collect your birth date, contact details, full name and home address. Our first step is to verify these electronically using reliable data sources.
7.2 Where electronic verification does not succeed, we ask for documents:
- Identity and age: a current driver's licence, passport or provincial photo ID card
- Address: a recently issued letter from a government body, utility provider or bank, such as a bill or statement, displaying your full name and residential address
- Payment ownership: an e-wallet screenshot or bank statement where your name is visible, or a photo showing your card's front face, middle digits concealed
- Selfie check: a live photo to match your face to your ID
7.3 Documents must be in colour, in date, fully visible and unedited.
7.4 You can email your documents to us or upload them in the verification area of your account.
